Popular singer, Bukola Elemide, aka Aṣa, has reacted to recent rift between Nigerian and Ghanaian artistes, saying there is no need for such friction.
“I’m a fan, we love Efya here, we love Gyakyie, Becca and we love Shatta Wale as well. We shouldn’t fight, we are brothers and sisters we are a family,” Aṣa said in conversation with Solomon Ter on Asaase Radio’s Accra – Lagos-Joburg.
Aṣa called for unity to develop the industry.
Shatta Wale, during his freedom concert at Accra Sports Stadium on 25 December accused Nigerian artistes of not loving and supporting them.
The statement stirred lots of controversy and reactions from Nigerians including stars like Burna Boy, Stonebwoy and many others.
Aṣa, who recently released her “V” album urged stars from both countries to look at the positive side of building peace and a united Africa.
